Email Etiquette
In IT lessons we are learning about e-mail etiquette. We are learning about what to do and what not to do or say when e-mailing a teacher. You can't use slang and you must be respectful. I learnt that when I email my friends it looks very different to when I'm e-mailing a teacher!
I found this topic very interesting and I enjoyed learning and blogging about it.

A wonderful book!
In English this year we are reading a book called Wonder. It is about a boy named August who has a deformed face and goes to school for the first time.
What really stood out for me was the fact that the story was told from different character's perspectives. So you can understand why some people did certain things. I kind of wish we could do that in real life so that we could understand each other better.
I feel like the story has taught me to be more understanding of others because you never know what they're going through or what is going on inside their head. Or what they've had to deal with. It also taught me to never judge people because of what they look like or because they're different.
I think I can relate to Summer because she tries to do the right thing even though people still judge her.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I feel like I learnt a lot.

Stop Motion Project - The Inker!
We are doing a stop motion project. Megan and I are partners and we are creating an octopus. He is the hero. He is white with blue spots, a mustache, goggles and a hat. Another character we made was Bob the fish who gets attacked by the Eelusionist. The Eelusionist is an eel with arms and a monocle. We created these characters because we wanted something weird, strange and just plain creepy! One thing I would change about the project is the story line. And maybe we shouldn't have added so many legs and tails on our characters because they are so hard to animate! I am really enjoying the animation process. I am really looking forward to our final product.

Instant messaging
On Wednesday we went to the Grade 4 Guinea Fowl class to teach them about mindful messaging. I got paired up with a cute little Grade 4. I taught her about facial expression and tone of voice. Facial expression is the look on your face when you say something. It indicates if you're happy, sad, angry, scared, etc. Tone is how your voice sounds when you say something. Its basically facial expression, but in your voice. When you're instant messaging you can't tell what someones facial expression or tone is because you can't see or hear them. So messages might be taken the wrong way. So be careful.

What I want out of 2017!
These are my hopes for 2017.
I would like to be a better artist. I have started Line Drawing so I could learn more and improve my drawings. I want to be the A-team goalkeeper for hockey. I could do this by training more often. I would like to learn how to long board. Without falling flat on my face. That would be nice...
I'm going to try get over my fear of horses and take up horse riding. Or unicorn riding. I'm hoping to go to places I've never been before, such as Switzerland and Austria. I'm hoping to learn French.
I hope all these things will happen this year.
